“Tess is the most conscientious baker imaginable. What I mean is that her baked goods are so incredibly healthy, thanks to her knowledge of, and commitment to, the healthiest, most nourishing ingredients. She takes good, thoughtful care of her customers in that way. She makes decadent foods virtuous. But beyond that, and no less important: everything is ridiculously delicious and satisfying. I have had pretty much everything she makes over the last few years, and nothing is ever less than a marvel. If I’m going to eat a sweet, it will be from Tess’s kitchen.”

“I always feel happy when I visit Sow Good Bakery at the Kingston Farmers Market because I will indulge in scrumptious and healthy treats. Tess combines tried-and-true delicious ingredients with unexpected twists to create a guilt-free-must-have dessert that is also a treat for the eye. Savoring one - or more - allows me to feel pampered and satisfied. I recommend a visit to Sow Good Bakery to buy cookies, cakes and brownies infused with Tess’s bright smile and get one of your own!”

“From the first moment I met Tess at her Sow Good Bakery booth at the Woodstock and Kingston farmers market, I was hooked. I don’t eat refined sugar, and always have to shrug off eating sweets. But Tess has created what I call “legal sweets” made of superfoods and no refined sugar! It’s hard to eat them because they are so beautiful! And last, but not least, I can really feel the love that Tess puts into her creations. Thank you, Tess, for filling that need for a healthy treat.”

“A week without the looked-forward-to-treat of Tess’s Raw Brownies with Salted Caramel or her Non-Milky Way bars is a sad one for me. One of the highlights of my weekly visits to the summer Kingston Farmers Market is a stop at Sow Good Bakery. I was attracted to Tess's stand immediately because of how beautiful her creations are. Desserts without gluten, refined sugars, or animal products can be tricky to make appealing, but Tess has figured out how to make them as artful as they are addictive. I bet you can’t eat just one…”

“I moved to the Hudson Valley from NYC six years ago. As a person suffering from Celiac Disease and lactose intolerance (which often accompany each other), I was discouraged by the lack of delicious cane sugar free, dairy free, gluten free desserts available in the area. I discovered Sow Good at the Kingston Farmers Market and have been absolutely in love with these delicacies ever since. Every single dessert I try is a delight. In spring I look forward to the weekly email announcing the delectable combinations of cake and icing that will be available among their cupcake creations at the Market. Sow Good also does special orders and can also be found at Josie's in Saugerties, for which I am grateful. What a wonderful resource in the Hudson Valley for great desserts. I feel lucky!”

“Tess made us the most delicious and decadent chocolate ginger cake with orange frosting! Knowing that it was gluten free, vegan and made without refined sugars made the cake even better. The lavender sprigs on top were an added bonus.”

“Sow Good Bakery's products are absolutely delectable. All of their products are organic, gluten-free, refined sugar free, and most of all delicious. Tess comes up with the most delicious pairings, and each one is a treat for the senses. Not only do her creations taste fabulous, they look and smell just as good.
From the raw Snickers and/or raw Milky Way Bars, to the Ginger Cakes with Lemon Frosting and Anise Hyssop Flowers, or the Raw Brownies with Salted Caramel and Thyme or the Earl Grey Tea Cakes with 'White Chocolate' Frosting and Monarda 'Bergamot' Flowers or the Butternut Squash Blondies with Sage and Brown Butter (to just name a few), you will never be disappointed.
We are so fortunate to have Tess and Sow Good Bakery in our area. I highly recommend them.”

“Discovering SOW GOOD BAKERY was like finding our happy place!
Although neither of us have vegan or vegetarian needs, allergies, etc., we LOVE every treat Tess makes!
My personal favorite is the 'not-Snickers' bar. They are like 'crack!' (Kidding, sorry for the drug reference, but it is apt!)
His is (are) the lavender macaroons, but honestly, when we sat down to write this, we couldn't think of anything that wasn't terrific!
All the cupcakes, brownies, cookies--we like everything!
Tess was even kind enough to give us advice on using gluten-free flour(s) in baking our own cookies for vegan friends!
Our waistlines may have suffered for it, but that's on us. (And COVID.)
We recommend you try SOW GOOD--you won't be sorry....or maybe you will...but in the BEST way possible.”

“OK, Tess, I gotta tell you - I just love your Raw Snickers, NonMilky Way Bars and Joyful Almond Bars. So much tastier and obviously way healthier than the (un)real thing!
And that cake we had had for my birthday- Wow. I was worried it might be too sweet but it was perfect and dense in a way that even a small piece was more than enough for 12 of us.”

“Tess really sows goodness all around her by sharing her love and talent for making wholesome and delectable treats. I have probably tried everything she has made over many years of following her at events and farmers markets. My daughters and I are all sensitive to gluten and sugar and these sweets are something we can enjoy, guilt-free, without feeling off-balance afterwards. I stock up around the holidays and birthdays or special occasions, knowing I can share with family and friends and we can get excited about these desserts while also feeling satisfied and nourished after the fact. Tess pours her heart and soul into everything she makes and presents us with a piece of art that gives excitement to all the senses. She confidently executes completely unique flavor combinations using ingredients that are seasonal and frequently locally sourced (like in her backyard)!
Thank you Tess for being you and for all your thoughtful care when you work your magic!”

“It all started with the granola- aka the gateway drug. Then, it was the snickers and mounds. I couldn't believe there was no sugar or flour AND exponentially better than the original. Embodied within every newly inspired creation there's freshly curated deliciousness with absolutely no crash. It's a whole other level of delight. Sow^%#*@Good!”
